Dan Henning is currently the Offensive Coordinator for the Miami Dolphins. He has held the position since 2008 when Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano was hired.

Miami Dolphins Offensive Coordinator Dan Henning is know for using the "Wildcat" offense on gameday.  The “Wildcat” offense strategy uses the running back in the quarterback position and has given the Miami Dolphins another dimension to their game.

Dan Henning Coaching Career

Dan Henning has coached for a number of teams since his career began. In 1968, he began as an assistant at Florida State. By 1983 he was the head coach of the NFL Atlanta Falcons, until 1986. From 1989 to 1991 he was the head coach of the San Diego Chargers. From 1994 to 1996 he was the head coach for Boston College University.

From 2002 to 2006, Dan Henning was the Offensive Coordinator for the NFL Carolina Panthers. The Carolina Panthers reached the Super Bowl in 2003 and the NFC Championship Game in 2005 under Dan Hennings' offensive direction. From 1998 to 2000, he was a Quarterbacks Coach and Offensive Coordinator. He’s also had stints with the Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills, Houston Oilers, Washington Redskins, and Virginia Tech University.

 Dan Henning has plenty of experience including his own personal player experience as a quarterback at William & Mary and later in the AFL for the San Diego Chargers.
